When people think of beauty they most likely think of the physical characteristics someone has. A major characteristic of beauty is personality. How you treat others and the world around you will dictate how “beautiful” you actually are. Physical attributes can only carry a person so far but personality is truly what makes or breaks them. My mom has raised my siblings and I to always be kind hearted and to make sure that no one gets left behind. Although I wasn’t the most popular, my personality always carried me. I would try to be nice not because I wanted something out of it but because I truly wanted to be. I say this only because I have seen people who were once at the top get thrown to the bottom simply because they had an awful attitude. Carrying yourself with etiquette will take you really far in life and it will leave an impactful statement on those around you. Growing up, I would have parents come up and thank me for being generous and kind and that was important to me because I believe whatever you give, you will receive back ten times. I am not writing to gloat or make myself look good but to give an example of the impact you can leave on others. I like to say that confidence breeds beauty meaning if you walk with your head held high with a positive attitude then your beauty will immediately follow. Being able to hold a conversation and not depending on your looks to get you places is something that can change a person’s life. Some people wonder how I still look good even with everything I’ve gone through and I want to tell you right now that your confidence and positive outlook will overshadow your physical appearance.
